Ganderbal, Sep 23: In a heart-wrenching incident that unfolded in the serene, forested reaches of Rezan, a local resident identified as Showkat Ahmad Thekrey, son of Ghulam Hassan Thekrey, hailing from Isbander Mohalla Rezan area of Gund in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district met a tragic end.
The unfortunate incident occurred when Thekrey ventured into the higher reaches of the forest, ultimately resulting in his untimely demise.
Thekrey’s expedition into the wilderness took a grim turn as he lost his footing, leading to a fatal fall. Tragically, he succumbed to his injuries on the spot, leaving the community in shock and mourning.
Local authorities were promptly alerted to the scene, and a rescue operation was launched. However, it became apparent that the injuries sustained were fatal, and Showkat Ahmad Thekrey could not be saved.
