Anantnag, Oct 10: Shahid Ul Islam, a young student from Mantipora Shangus in south Kashmir’s District Anantnag, has penned down his very first book called “The Crestfallen Soul”.
This book is a collection of 60 poems that talk about real-life experiences and strong emotions.
Shahid told Rising Kashmir that in his book, he talks about moments of happiness, the beauty of life, memories, heartbreak, and sadness. Each poem brings out a different feeling, making the reader feel very deeply.
“I have dedicated this book to past love and the strong feelings that inspired me to write about “The Crestfallen Soul”,” he said, adding that the writing is full of passion and paints a vivid picture of emotions.
He said the idea to publish the book came when he began to submit different write-ups in newspapers, addressing many societal issues.
He also emphasized that this book isn’t just about poems; it’s also about showing others that they can make a positive impact.
“I have been writing whatever comes to my mind and this is going smoothly. I am gaining confidence and aspire to reach a larger audience one day,” he said.
He further added that he remained in touch with social media and was inspired by many writers over there, so he thought to bring out his collection.
“Thankfully, I’ve successfully penned down my debut book. I am looking forward to writing more as much as possible,” he added.
