Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat Saturday chaired a meeting of District Level Implementation Committee(DLIC) on implementation of PM Vishwakarma here at Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex to review the progress of registration of beneficiaries on the Portal.
At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner was apprised by the General Manager, District Industries Centre, Srinagar that 2nd-level verification of as many as 295 Artisans of the District has been completed at the District Level Committee.
The DC was informed that 98 cases have been verified from rural areas by the Rural Development Department and 197 cases from urban areas of the District by Srinagar Municipal Corporation.
On the occasion, the DC accorded the approval for all 295 cases of the beneficiary Artisans of the District who will be imparted necessary trainings to upscale their professional skills, in addition, stipend and free of cost tool kits will also be provided to them during.
