Srinagar, Sep 26: In a prestigious ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan on Tuesday, the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) Jammu and Kashmir, along with the State Health Agency (SHA), received accolades and recognition for their “remarkable contributions” to healthcare in the Union Territory.
Health officials said the ABDM clinched the third position for its exceptional work in generating ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) and Scan & Share IDs in Jammu and Kashmir.
Simultaneously, the State Health Agency received an award for its exemplary efforts in ensuring seamless patient care within the UT.
Bhupinder Kumar, the CEO of SHA, and Dr Shafqat Khan, representing ABDM Jammu and Kashmir, proudly accepted the awards during the Arogya Manthan-2023 event.
This recognition comes at a significant juncture, as both flagship schemes of the National Health Authority (NHA) achieve important milestones.
The Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) marked its fifth anniversary on September 23, 2018, since its implementation, while the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) celebrated its second anniversary since its launch on September 27, 2021.
The officials said the achievements of ABDM and SHA in promoting healthcare and facilitating access to services in Jammu and Kashmir underscore the dedication of these organizations towards enhancing the well-being of the residents of the Union Territory.
The Arogya Manthan-2023 event serves as a platform to honour and celebrate outstanding contributions in the healthcare sector and these awards further highlight the commitment of ABDM and SHA to advancing healthcare services in Jammu and Kashmir.
