Srinagar, Aug 28: A mega job fair by ICT Academy Jammu Kashmir Employability Enhancement Training (JEET) under the aegis of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) Government of India New Delhi was held in the SSM College of Engineering campus on Monday.
The event was attended by Dr. Neetu Bhagat, Deputy Director, AICTE as Chief Guest, Dr. S. Ganesh Vice-President ICT Academy, G. Saravanan, AVP, Academic Operations ICT Academy, Dr. Qazi Shabir Ahmad Chairman SSM College of Engineering, Senior functionaries, HODs/Faculty members and around 300 students of the college were also present on the occasion.
The representatives of 15 multinational and national companies attended the event and subsequently held interviews of candidates as a part of the placement drive on the campus. The companies included Airtel, Bajaj Motors, Concentrix, Hikeedu, IJL, Krishna, New Allenberry Works, Reliable Automotive, Dixon, Infosoft, MRF, Okaya, Paytm, Siddhi, SuperHoze, Yokohoma, etc. After conducting the interviews of diploma and degree candidates, the companies offered job opportunities to nearly 200 prospective candidates.
Besides this, the ICT Academy felicitated 259 students of SSM College of Engineering who have undergone Skill Enhancement training in the areas of Fusion 360, AutoCAD, Digital Marketing, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning through their organization during the year 2022. Certificates were distributed among successful candidates.
