“LG’s Mulaqaat”: J&K’s potential to be transformed in Amrit Kaal through rapid dev: LG

Jammu, Nov 30:  In a proactive move towards citizen engagement, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha conducted a virtual interaction titled “LG’s Mulaqaat” during the Live Public Grievance Hearing at the Civil Secretariat. 
During this session, citizens had the opportunity to voice their concerns, and the Lt Governor took note of grievances filed on JK-IGRAMS, ensuring prompt resolutions and emphasizing necessary steps for improvement in implementation.
Acknowledging the crucial role of speedy program execution in boosting J&K UT’s economy, the Lt Governor highlighted its significance in maintaining transparency and accountability for an effective public delivery system.
 “The rapid development and performance across various sectors showcase the limitless potential of the Union Territory, and we are determined to transform this potential into reality to change the destiny of J&K in Amrit Kaal,” Lt Governor said.
Addressing specific complaints, Lt Governor Manoj Sinha directed the Deputy Commissioner of Budgam to take immediate measures to improve the poor condition of a road in Attina, Budgam, following a complaint from Pralad Singh.
Regarding the completion of the water supply project in the Chanderseer Tilgam to Wanigam Payeen area, the Additional Chief Secretary of the Jal Shakti Department assured the Lt Governor that the project would be completed by the end of December this year.
Responding to a complaint about a blocked drain near Jaganath Temple in Goal Mela, raised by Vidyut Vats from Dhar Road, Udhampur, the Lt Governor instructed the Deputy Commissioner Udhampur to ensure the clearance of the drain within 10 days.
Lt Governor Manoj Sinha addressed the grievance of Payar Singh of Ganote Chakka Bhartund, District Ramban, concerning the issuance of a BPL Ration Card in his favor.
The proceedings of “LG’s Mulaqaat” were conducted by Rehana Batul, Secretary, Public Grievances. The event saw the presence of Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta, Chief Secretary;  R K Goyal, Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department; R.R Swain, DGP; Administrative Secretaries; Divisional Commissioners; Deputy Commissioners; SSPs; HoDs, and other senior officers, both in person and through virtual mode.
