Asmita Khelo India Yogasana League Concludes in Srinagar with Enthusiastic Participation

Srinagar, July 28: The Asmita Khelo India Yogasana City League 2025–26 concluded on a high note at the Sher-e-Kashmir Indoor Sports Complex in Srinagar. Organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Yogasana Sports Association, affiliated with Yogasana Bharat and recognised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, the event aimed to promote Yogasana as a competitive discipline rooted in India’s ancient traditions.A statement issued here said that the league witnessed participation from more than 250 young athletes representing various districts of Kashmir Division, each showcasing exceptional balance, strength, flexibility, and mental focus. Designed to enhance both physical and mental well-being, the event also sought to inspire greater youth engagement in traditional Indian sports through a structured competitive platform. Guests of Honour who attended the event included– Maqsood Khan, Venue Manager, Shabir Ahmad Dar, Senior Yogasana Coach, J&K Sports Council and Sabiya Qayoom, Principal, Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Sonwar. Their presence added encouragement and gravitas to the occasion, motivating the young competitors. The organisers extended heartfelt thanks to all athletes, coaches, officials, and volunteers whose dedication and teamwork ensured the smooth execution of the league. The event reflected the growing popularity of Yogasana as a sport in the region and reaffirmed Jammu and Kashmir’s commitment to promoting holistic, heritage-based fitness disciplines.
