Srinagar, July 26: The 6th District Srinagar Yogasana Sports Championship 2025 will take place on 29th and 30th July at the Shri Kashmir Indoor Sports Complex, Srinagar. Organised by the District Srinagar Yogasana Sports Association and sponsored by the J&K Sports Council, the championship is being held under the auspices of the J&K Yogasana Sports Association and Yogasana Bharat — both recognised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India and the Indian Olympic Association.A statement issued here said that more than 150 athletes from various age categories are expected to participate in a range of events, including Traditional Yogasana, Artistic, Rhythmic, and five individual disciplines. The event aims to promote the cultural essence of Yogasana, while fostering physical fitness, discipline, and a spirit of healthy competition among the youth. All schools, educational institutions, sports clubs, and youth organisations are encouraged to nominate participants. The deadline for submitting entry forms is July 28. For registrations and additional information, interested parties may contact the District Srinagar Yogasana Sports Association.This championship is part of the “My Youth, My Pride” initiative — a flagship movement of the J&K Sports Council, which seeks to inspire youth to embrace sports and contribute positively to society.
