Srinagar, July 18: The Global Tennis Cricket League (GTCL) has announced that selection trials for its upcoming international tournament will be held at Bakshi Stadium, Srinagar, on July 20 at 8:30 am.According to GTCL Chairman Amin Pathan, the highly anticipated league will be staged in Sharjah, UAE, this September, featuring a unique blend of sporting excellence and entertainment. The event will host six Indian teams and four international sides, competing in the 10-over format, with matches to be televised live on major channels. Pathan shared that the GTCL aims to identify and nurture tennis cricket talent from across India by providing a world-class platform for aspiring players to shine on an international stage.As part of the nationwide talent hunt, selection trials are being held in 30 major Indian cities, including Srinagar. Participants at the Srinagar trials can register offline directly at Bakshi Stadium on the day of the event. All players are required to bring their own cricket bat. Following the trials, selected players will be inducted into teams via a formal draft process, joining a tournament that is set to include not only renowned cricket players but also celebrated film personalities, bringing glamour and global visibility to the league. The GTCL promises to be a milestone event, blending the passion of grassroots tennis cricket with the prestige of international recognition.
