Ganderbal, July 15: A human body part, reportedly a leg, was recovered from the River Sindh near the forest check post at Gagangir in Sonamarg area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Monday.According to police officials, they received information about the presence of a human leg in the river. Acting swiftly, Station House Officer (SHO) Gund, along with a police team and Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) experts, reached the spot and recovered the body part.The recovered remains have been shifted to the mortuary at Primary Health Centre Sonamarg for medico-legal formalities.Police said that a preliminary investigation has been initiated to ascertain the identity of the deceased and the circumstances surrounding the incident.
