SANJY symbolises harmony, inclusiveness and brotherhood: Rana

Srinagar, June 28: Highlighting the significance of ensuing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY 2025, Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana today stated that it symbolizes harmony, inclusiveness, love, brotherhood and shared humanity.

Rana was taking stock of the arrangements at the Panthachowk base camp in preparation for SANJAY 2025. He took a detailed review of the preparedness there.

He said Jammu & Kashmir is known worldwide for its hospitality and is fully prepared to support the yatra and ensure a comfortable stay for the pilgrims.

During his visit, he emphasized the importance of providing large-scale clean and pure drinking water facilities to the pilgrims.

The Minister directed the concerned departments to ensure close coordination and put in place all necessary arrangements well in advance before the commencement of the yatra.

He inspected the water arrangements at the base camp and stressed the need for round-the-clock availability of clean drinking water for the pilgrims.

Rana was briefed on the water arrangements at the base camp and other points, including the installation of 400 toilet/bathroom points, 20 water tap connections, and 2 water testing kits.

He emphasized the importance of regularly checking water quality and ensuring safe drinking water for the pilgrims.

The Minister also reviewed the arrangements made by the PHE division in Qazigund, Bijbehara, and Ganderbal with respect to drinking water facilities.

Rana exuded confidence that the people of Jammu and Kashmir will given a warm welcome to the pilgrims and contribute in ensuring a smooth and peaceful conduct of the yatra.
