Srinagar, June 14: Prominent industrialists Ajaz Qureshi and Khalid Subhan Wani, Chairman of SHAAN-E-KASHMIR Group, met with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to deliberate on key industrial concerns, particularly related to the Ease of Doing Business in Jammu and Kashmir.
During the meeting, the industrialists underscored the urgent need for timely disbursement of incentives and subsidies to support local entrepreneurs and industrial units. They highlighted the bureaucratic delays and policy gaps that continue to hamper industrial growth in the region.
Advisor to the Chief Minister, along with senior government officials, also attended the meeting. The Chief Minister gave a patient hearing and assured the delegation that a detailed review meeting with the Deputy Chief Minister would be convened next week to address all relevant concerns.
CM Omar Abdullah acknowledged the challenges faced by the entrepreneurial community and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to creating a more business-friendly environment.
The delegation expressed sincere gratitude to the Chief Minister for his proactive and responsive stance on industrial issues, hoping that sustained dialogue and timely reforms will pave the way for a vibrant industrial ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir.
