Unbeaten & Unstoppable: DPS Srinagar Clinches Inter-School Football Trophy!

Srinagar, June 14: Delhi Public School, Srinagar, is proud to announce that its Under-14 Boys Football Team has emerged as the Champions of the prestigious Inter-School Football Tournament (Zone Amira Kadal), gaining ascendancy over 14 participating schools with an exemplary display of talent, discipline, and teamwork.
The team demonstrated exceptional expertise throughout the tournament, maintaining an unbeaten record and not conceding a single goal during the entire competition. Their journey to victory is a testament to their dedication and sporting spirit.
Tournament Details
Round 1: Delivered a resounding 15–0 win against Candid Higher Secondary School, Nowgam.
• Quarter-Finals: Dominated Model High School, Jawahar Nagar with an impressive 9–0 scoreline.
• Semi-Finals: Outplayed Tyndale Biscoe School in a tense match, clinching a narrow 1–0 win after continued possession and strategic play.
• Finals: Crowned champions after a commanding 4–0 victory over Burn Hall School. The team secured a well-deserved victory, showcasing their skill, teamwork, and determination.
With an overall score of 30 goals and zero goals conceded, the team’s performance was nothing short of exceptional, reflecting their hard work, strategic gameplay, and team coordination. Shafaq Afshan, the Principal of Delhi Public School, Srinagar, said: “Congratulations to our football team on a thrilling and well-deserved victory! Your dedication, teamwork, and exemplary sportsmanship have made us immensely proud. Well done!” The Chairman of the School, Vijay Dhar, also complemented the team and said: “This victory stands as a testament to the school’s unwavering commitment to fostering excellence in sports alongside academic achievement. We look forward to witnessing many more such commendable milestones in the times to come.”
