Manya Banotra selected for BCCI’s U-19 Girls High Performance Camp

Jammu, June 11: For her fabulous all-round display, promising batting all-rounder Manya Banotra has got the nod of All India Women’s Selection Committee to be part of the High Performance Camp for U-19 Girls, being conducted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)–Centre of Excellence New Campus, Bengaluru from June 23 to July 23.
This was informed by Brig Anil Gupta, Member Administration JKCA after receiving a letter from VVS Laxman, Head Cricket, BCCI–CoE. In the five matches that Manya played under BCCI’s CoE at Ahmedabad, she scored 40 runs in the first match, 51 not out in the second, 25 in the third followed by two zeros in the remaining two matches, besides taking 5 wickets in five matches, with 3/17 in 9 overs as her best in the last match. Manya has the distinction of scoring over 300 runs in One-Day and T20 format of U-19 girls last season, with masterclass 135 runs against Sikkim as her best. Brig Anil Gupta and Mithun Manhas, Member Cricket Operations JKCA while congratulating Manya, have termed her as a special talent. Manya will get adequate clothing for the Camp from the BCCI–CoE.
