EAT RIGHT Club of Govt Higher Secondary Institute Delina conducted an awareness program on food safety and balanced nutrition.
Dr Showkat in his key note address spoke about “Food Safety and Standards Authority of India” (FSSAI) and it’s job to avail safe and nutritios food to people. He also underscored the importance of balanced diet for school going children. Senior Lecturer Qazi Syed Sajad threw light on responsibilities of different sections of society viz family, business fraternity and food safety department towards safe and healthy food.
He impressed upon shopkeepers to ensure availability of unexpired food products in the market
Nodal officer of EAT RIGHT Club Farooq Ahmad spoke about eat right initiative by the Govt. of India and it’s broad objectives. He said that only a healthy India can be prosperous. He said teachers and students have to be ambassadors for this great program and public outreach is the key to ensure a balanced diet and effective food safety in india. In the end, Dr Haris Hamza presented vote of thanks.
Besides a huge gathering of students the program was attended by HOD Science wing Bashir Ahmad, Lecturer Chemistry Mohammad Shafi and PET Bilal Ahmad Sofi.
