Ganderbal, May 26: A special traffic enforcement drive was conducted on Monday in Ganderbal under the supervision of SSP Traffic Rural Kashmir, Ravinder Paul Singh. The operation was carried out in coordination with DySP Traffic Ganderbal, Gulzar Ahmad, and DTI Ganderbal, targeting violators of traffic regulations in the region.
The drive, spearheaded by Traffic Sector Ganderbal, aimed to tighten the enforcement of traffic rules and enhance road safety awareness among commuters. During the operation, a substantial number of challans were issued against offenders for various violations, including overloading, riding without helmets, driving without seat belts, and operating vehicles without valid driving licenses.
The Traffic Police reiterated its commitment to road safety and urged the public to strictly follow traffic rules. Authorities emphasised that adherence to traffic regulations is essential to prevent road accidents and protect lives.
Officials have assured that similar enforcement drives will continue across the district to instil a sense of responsibility among motorists and ensure safer roads for all.
