Scores of visitors, including a group from Mumbai, expressed their delight post snowfall. One tourist mentioned that their visit was initially devoid of winter charm, but their luck turned when they witnessed snowfall at Gulmarg before heading back home. Similar reports of joyous tourists were received from other winter-friendly destinations open to visitors.
Meanwhile, the Secretary of Tourism, Syed Abid Rashid Shah, urged people around the globe to visit the paradise to regale themselves. Sharing a video from Gulmarg, Sec Tourism mentioned Kashmir as a paradise and asked people across the world to visit Kashmir and regale themselves.
Earlier this month, the higher reaches of the Kashmir Valley had already experienced snowfall, and now the plains joined in the seasonal celebration. Tourists and locals alike flocked to the ski resort town of Gulmarg to enjoy the snowfall, making it the earliest among the tourist destinations to witness this natural spectacle.
