Srinagar, Jan 30: The Commissioner SMC on Tuesday reviewed progress and implementation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) in Srinagar.
The review focused on the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT), Swachh Bharat Mission 2.0 (Urban), Pradhan Mantri Street Vendors Atma Nirbhar Nidhi (PM-SVANidhi), Srinagar Master Plan, and the City Investments to Innovate, Integrate and Sustain 2.0 program CITIIS.
Dr. Owais emphasized the importance of these Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSSs) in driving sustainable urban development, enhancing infrastructure, and improving the quality of life for citizens of Srinagar.
He reiterated the significance of effective and efficient execution of these programs to realize the vision of inclusive and resilient urban centers in Srinagar.
During the comprehensive review, key performance indicators, project timelines, financial disbursements, and citizen impact were thoroughly examined. The meeting facilitated constructive discussions to address challenges, identify opportunities for synergy, and to streamline coordination among relevant stakeholders.
Dr. Owais expressed satisfaction with the progress made so far while underlining the need for concerted efforts to ensure the timely completion of all projects and the optimal utilization of resources.
The review meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of the commitment to accelerate the pace of implementation, and upholding transparency and accountability in the execution of CSSs in District Srinagar.
