Kashmir parts to witness power shutdown due to repair works

Supply to remain affected in Budgam, Sgr, Shopian, Handwara from May 19 to 24

Srinagar, May 18: In order to carry out stabilisation, branch cutting, and essential maintenance works on the 33KV Watrihail line, a scheduled power shutdown shall be observed. As a result, the 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Waterhail, Waterwani, Charangam and the PHE Filtration Plant will remain non-operational, affecting power supply to Waterhail, Sholipora, Lobertal, Dadina, Prisabad, Samsaan, Parthan, PHE Substation, Charangam, Banegund, Punchgund, Uttligam, and adjoining areas from 10:00 am to 05:00 pm from May 19 to May 24.
Similarly, to facilitate branch cutting and routine maintenance, a shutdown of the 33KV Nowbugh Chadoora line will be observed. Consequently, the 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Chadoora, Panzan, and Ranger shall remain off, affecting power supply to Sogam, Rapora, Dawlatpora, Panzan, Lalgam, Chadoora, Chadoora Hospital, Wathoora, Budgam, and nearby areas from 10:00 am to 05:00 pm on May 19.
Additionally, a shutdown of the 33KV Nowbugh Charisharief line will take place, rendering the 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Char-I, Char-II, Hafroo, and Nagam inactive. This will affect electricity supply to Kakawring, Yousmarg, Charisharief, Rakhayee, ITI Charisharief, Shrine, Tilsera, Badipora, Nagam, Hayatpora, Buzgoo, Loolipora, Hafroo, and adjacent areas from 10:00 am to 05:00 pm on May 19.
Further, to facilitate the upgradation and stabilisation of the 33KV Alasteng–Nagbal line, a shutdown will be observed, impacting the 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Alasteng, Nagbal, Gadoora, and Tulbagh. Power supply will be disrupted in Shuhama, Bakura, Darend, Nagbal, Fatehpora, Gadoora, Tulbagh, Chunduna, Shairpathri, Pandach, and surrounding areas from 10:00 am to 04:00 am on May 19 and May 21.
In the same context, the shutdown of the 33KV Alasteng–Zakura line will also be carried out, affecting the 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Gulabagh, Ahmad Nagar, and Umarhair. Power supply to Pathan Colony, Gulabagh, Mir Mohalla, Umarhair, Nowbugh, Ahmad Nagar, 90 ft Road, Khalmullah, and nearby areas will be affected from 10:00 am to 04:00 pm on May 19.
Moreover, for the shifting of the 33KV Handwara HOT line at Vadipora to facilitate road widening, a shutdown will be observed. This will impact the 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Handwara, Chogul, and Pohrupeth, affecting power supply to the aforementioned areas from 10:00 am to 03:00 pm on May 19. Likewise, to remove trees in close proximity to the 33KV Yaripora–Behibagh Tap line, the shutdown of this line will be observed. The 33/11KV Receiving Station at Behibagh will remain off, affecting power supply to Sempora, Alamgung, Daderkoot, Behibagh, Kadder, Harmain Shopian, and nearby areas from 10:00 am to 03:00 pm on May 19.
