Srinagar, April 04: The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India, has taken a significant step in advancing corporate governance by organising its 3rd Board Mentorship Programme through the Institute of Governance Professionals of India (IGPI), a Section 8 company promoted by ICSI.
The four-day Director’s Training Programme, held from 2–5 April 2025 in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, aimed to strengthen board-level leadership, equipping decision-makers with the expertise to cultivate empowered teams and foster collaborative growth environments.

Furthering its mission of global professional empowerment, ICSI has established Overseas Centres in Australia, Canada, Singapore, the UAE, the UK, and the USA. Strengthening its international presence, ICSI will host its Middle East Conference 2025 from 24–26 April in Dubai, themed ‘Good Governance: Empowering Capital Markets’, followed by the 4th International Conference in Sydney from 3–5 September 2025, focused on ‘Embracing Innovation, Enhancing Good Governance’.
ICSI continues its digital transformation through e-learning modules, UDIN, and eCSin, reinforcing compliance, transparency, and accessibility. Recognitions from SEBI and IFSCA have further enhanced the role of Company Secretaries in securities and capital markets. To elevate professional expertise, ICSI has introduced various Post Membership Qualification (PMQ) Certificate Courses and established the ICSI International ADR Centre. It has also launched the Start-up & MSME Catalyst initiative to expand professional opportunities and recently developed PoSH Governance Standards and Social Audit Standards.
For students, ICSI has introduced direct registration into the CS Executive Programme for graduates, free online classes, a Debating Society, and a one-year CSMC residential programme. Academic collaborations with IIMs, NLUs, and Olympiad foundations further reinforce its commitment to excellence. With fee waivers for students from Jammu and Kashmir, armed forces families, and concessions for economically weaker and special category students, ICSI reaffirms that social responsibility remains central to its mission.
