Jammu, Mar 30: Reiterating the Central Government’s commitment, the Lieutenant Gover-nor assured the people that significant efforts are underway to facilitate the return of Kashmiri Pandits to the Kashmir valley. “The government is working tirelessly to create the right environ-ment, and we will remove all obstacles to make this return possible,” he emphasized.
On the auspicious occasion of Navreh, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha attended the ‘Navreh Samaroh’, organised by the Kashmiri Pandit Sabha, at Amphalla, Jammu.
During the event, the Lieutenant Governor interacted with the attendees and extended his heart-felt greetings and best wishes, praying that the upcoming year brings happiness, joy, and fulfill-ment to all, lighting their path with hope for a brighter future.
The Lieutenant Governor also urged the younger generation to take a pledge to celebrate the nine days of Navratri as “Nari Shakti Utsav,” underscoring the importance of providing equal oppor-tunities for women in all walks of life. He praised the Kashmiri Pandit community for its invalu-able contributions to the growth and development of Jammu & Kashmir and the nation.
“Jammu and Kashmir is blessed with spiritual energy. The Kashmiri Pandit community, which has been practicing its faith for thousands of years on this land, has reached the ultimate peak of consciousness. On this occasion, let us also remember and honor the great personalities of the community,” he said.
Addressing the concerns of PM Package employees, the Lieutenant Governor assured them that the government would take all necessary steps to ensure that they receive the same benefits as other employees of the Jammu & Kashmir Government. He also commended the efforts of the Kashmiri Pandit Sabha and other organizations in preserving and promoting the region’s rich cul-tural and spiritual heritage.
“The collective efforts and coordination of Kashmiri Pandit organizations are a testament to the strength of this vibrant culture. I am confident that the values being instilled in the younger gen-eration will safeguard this culture for generations to come,” the Lieutenant Governor remarked.
He further highlighted that the celebrations of Navratri and Navreh are a symbol of the unity in diversity in the region, strengthening the emotional bond among the people. “Let us pledge today to further solidify this unity for the welfare of Jammu & Kashmir,” he concluded.
The event was attended by several prominent figures, including Atal Dulloo, Chief Secretary; Kuldeep Khoda, former DGP; K.K. Khosa, President of Kashmiri Pandit Sabha; Deepak Dhar, Senior Vice President; and various senior officials, along with citizens from all walks of life.
