Secretary Health and Medical Education, Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, today visited Government Medical College (GMC), Anantnag and Rehmat Aalam Hospital, MCH to assess the healthcare services being extended to the ailing there.
He had an extensive round of all the wards of the hospitals to take stock of the diagnostic and treatment facilities being made available to the patients in these healthcare institutes. He also interacted with the patients and their attendants seeking feedback on status of the medical services being provided to them.
Deputy Commissioner, S F Hamid and Director Health Services, Kashmir, Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Rather besides other senior officers accompanied the Secretary.
During the visit, the Secretary assessed the current state of healthcare infrastructure and services at GMC Anantnag, focusing on patient care, infrastructure, medical equipment and overall operational efficiency of the hospital.
