As the security forces encircled the location, the hiding terrorists opened fire, triggering an encounter.
The official confirmed that after the exchange of fire, one terrorist, identified as Saifullah from Pakistan, was killed.
Speaking to media persons, SP Handwara Mushtaq Choudhary also confirmed the killing. He stated that on Monday morning, security forces received credible information about the terrorist’s presence.
Upon surrounding the area, the hiding terrorists fired upon the joint team, leading to the encounter in which Saifullah, who had been active in the area for some time, was neutralized.
