Budgam, Mar 03: Three residential houses were damaged in a fire incident in Wagoora area of Budgam district. An official from the Fire Station reported that a fire call was received at 11:51 PM on Sunday night.
“Two single-storey buildings sustained damage, while a double-storey building experienced minor damage during this fire incident. The fire was caused by a short circuit,” the official said.
He said that the total property loss due to the fire incident is estimated at 80 lakhs, with damages amounting to 15 lakhs.
“The fire tenders from Pampore, Rawalpora, and the Srinagar fire headquarters also arrived at the scene to control the fire in a timely manner. It is essential for the public to adhere to fire safety advisories, and in the event of a fire, they should contact the nearest fire station so that we can extinguish the flames and prevent further property loss,” the official added.
