Frankfurt, Jan 18: In a significant development, The Carpet Export Promotion Council (CEPC) proudly participated in Heimtextil 2025, the world’s leading trade fair for home and textiles, held from January 14 to 17, 2025, in Frankfurt, Germany. The event showcased India’s unparalleled expertise in handmade carpets and rugs, highlighting the country’s vibrant craftsmanship and diversity.

More than 500 participants from India’s textile industry attended the event, including approximately 100 exhibitors specifically from the carpet and rugs sector. Prominent centers like Bhadohi, Panipat, and Jaipur were well-represented, underscoring India’s stronghold in the global handmade carpet market.

The Indian Pavilion at Heimtextil 2025 was inaugurated by the minister of Textiles, Giriraj Singh, in presence of Rohit Kansal, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, and B.S. Mubarak, Consul General of India in Frankfurt, Germany.

In his address the Minister of Textiles remarked, “The world is now focusing on India to meet its textile requirements,” emphasizing India’s growing prominence in the global textile industry.

Heimtextil 2025 serves as a premier platform for promoting India’s handmade carpets and rugs, with all Textile Export Promotion Councils (EPCs) joining forces to showcase the country’s rich textile heritage.

The event featured over 3,000 exhibitors from 65 countries, reinforcing Heimtextil’s status as a vital hub for textile interior design. The introduction of Heimtextil Trends 25/26, curated by Milan-based design platform Alcova, offered innovative and sustainable solutions.

CEPC remains steadfast in its commitment to providing Indian exporters with platforms like Heimtextil to expand their global networks and secure international trade opportunities. Feedback from participants in the CEPC Pavilion highlighted fruitful interactions with new buyers who expressed admiration for the extensive presence of Indian handmade carpet suppliers. CEPC widely publicizes Bharat Tex 2025 and invites overseas buyers to attend the event, furthering efforts to enhance India’s global textile outreach.

CEPC is optimistic about the lasting impact of Heimtextil 2025 on India’s handmade carpet industry. The Council is hopeful that the Participation in Heimtextil 2025 will mark another milestone in promoting India’s legacy of craftsmanship on the global stage,” CEPC members stated.
