Lone seeks removal of dividers in Handwara market

Srinagar, Jan 10: People’s Conference (PC) chief and MLA Handwara, Sajad Lone has raised serious concerns over the installation of road dividers in the main market of Handwara, citing safety hazards.
He said the town’s roads are not wide enough to accommodate dividers, leading to frequent accidents. A youth miraculously escaped a major mishap on Thursday, which highlights the dangers posed by these dividers.
Lone has urged authorities to take immediate action, saying, “The dividers need to be removed urgently as they are causing more harm than good.”
Local residents have also expressed their frustration and called for alternative traffic management solutions that do not compromise public safety. (KNS)
