Ladakh, Feb 27: In a major relief for stranded Ladakhi passengers in New Delhi, IndiGo Airlines has announced the operation of an additional flight from Delhi to Leh sector on February 29, 2024.
The decision comes after the intervention of the Chairman/CEC of LAHDC Leh, Tashi Gyalson.
Expressing gratitude, the CEC extended thanks to the Union Minister of Civil Aviation for facilitating the slot allocation. Additionally, appreciation was extended to IndiGo Airlines for their cooperation in scheduling an extra flight to Leh on the specified date.
Furthermore, the CEC highlighted that stranded passengers, particularly patients facing financial constraints undergoing medical treatment in Delhi, who wish to return to Leh post-recovery, will be eligible for a 15% rebate on the cost of their travel tickets. This rebate can be availed upon submission of valid documents after completing their travel.
The announcement brings hope and relief to the stranded Ladakhi passengers, ensuring their safe return to Leh amidst challenging circumstances.
