Vice Chancellor of Kashmir University, Prof. Nilofer Khan, approved a grant of ₹2 lakh for cultural activities during the Annual Day celebrations of MA and MAK Hostels.
The event, held at Gandhi Bhawan, witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and university dignitaries, including the Registrar, Prof. Naseer Iqbal.
The program featured cultural performances by hostel boarders, highlighting their artistic talents. Prof. Khan commended the efforts of the organizing team and the hostel community for fostering a vibrant cultural environment. In her address, she reaffirmed the university’s commitment to supporting extracurricular activities, emphasizing the importance of such events in enhancing student life.
Registrar Prof. Naseer Iqbal applauded the enthusiasm of the students and the dedication of the wardens and hostel staff in making the event a success.
The approved ₹2 lakh will be utilized to further enhance cultural and recreational activities for hostel residents, reflecting the administration’s focus on student welfare and holistic development.
