Indian Army and Fire Department Swiftly Extinguish Blaze in Pulwama’s Panzgam

In a display of swift action and coordination, the 55 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) of the Indian Army, in collaboration with the Fire and Emergency Department, successfully extinguished a raging fire engulfing a two-storey house in Panzgam village, South Kashmir.

Eyewitnesses reported that on Tuesday afternoon, a devastating fire erupted in the residence of Fayaz Ahmad Lone, Son of Late Abdul Ahad Lone, causing significant damage. The blaze posed a severe threat to neighboring structures, including a mosque, as it quickly spread through the house.Upon receiving the distress call, the 55 RR unit wasted no time and promptly arrived at the scene.

They initiated firefighting operations and provided essential first aid to civilians in need. With the combined efforts of the military unit and Fire and Emergency Personnel, the situation was swiftly brought under control, preventing further escalation.An army official praised the proactive approach of the 55 RR unit, emphasizing their pivotal role in containing the fire and safeguarding nearby properties, notably the mosque.

Their decisive actions ensured the safety of lives and property in the community.The timely intervention by the Indian Army and Fire Department received accolades from locals, underscoring their dedication to serving and protecting the community in times of crisis.
