Srinagar, Nov 27: The Chief Secretary Jammu and Kashmir, Atal Dulloo on Wednesday inaugurated ‘HOT HOUSE’ at Floriculture Development Scheme Lalmandi Srinagar and visited different sections of the scheme.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Secretary highlighted the importance of commercial cultivation of medicinal and aromatic plants and directed officers to promote awareness and cultivation of different medicinal and aromatic plants among youth and farmers. He said the production of medicinal plants has a great scope in Jammu and Kashmir.
Further, he distributed PGS certificates among the beneficiaries.
On the occasion Director Agriculture Kashmir, Chowdhury Mohammad Iqbal along with Floriculturist Kashmir Division, Dr. Anjum Rashid briefed the dignitary about the progress of different schemes and projects of Floriculture Development Scheme. He also detailed the Chief Secretary about the progress of ongoing different projects under the Holistic Agriculture Development Program (HADP).
