The District Administration Kathua, in a groundbreaking collaboration with the Animal Husbandry Department, is set to establish a pioneering Animal Welfare Centre at Pathwal, Hiranagar.
This state-of-the-art facility, over an impressive 9 kanal land, would be the largest of its kind in the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory, strategically located near the National Highway.
The Animal Welfare Centre marks a significant milestone in the region’s commitment to animal welfare, with a primary focus on addressing the needs of over 1000 animals, specifically stray cows that are prone to road accidents.
This initiative highlights the district’s steadfast dedication to upholding ethical standards and providing compassionate care for all living beings, in line with constitutional mandates.
