Jammu, Oct 28: Vigilance Awareness Week began on Monday, and will continue until 3rd November 2024. In accordance with the guidelines issued by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir GAD (Vigilance) Circular No.23-JK (GAD) of 2024, dated 09.10.2024, Traffic Range Jammu organized pledge ceremonies at all traffic units/traffic sub-divisions within the Jammu Range.
The main function was held at the Range Traffic Police Headquarters, Narwal Jammu, where police staff from Traffic Headquarters J&K, Range Traffic Police Headquarters Jammu, and Traffic Rural Jammu participated.
On this occasion, Dr. Mohd Haseeb Mughal, IPS, DIG Traffic Range Jammu, administered the pledge to all staff members.
While addressing the gathering, DIG Traffic Range Jammu spoke about the purpose behind organizing such functions by the government. He emphasized the importance of vigilance in preventing corruption and promoting good governance.
The DIG Traffic Range Jammu advised all staff members to reaffirm their commitment to uphold the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and accountability. He further stressed the need to take full responsibility for assigned tasks and to lead by example. “We must establish integrity frameworks and a code of ethics to ensure that we are not complicit in any corrupt practices. Instances of corruption must be addressed with utmost strictness, enabling us to deliver better services,” he added.
Among others, Vinay Kumar-JKPS, SSP Traffic Rural Jammu; Voonesh Sangotra, Sr. PO RTHQ Jammu; Ramesh Kataria, DySP Pvt. Secretary to DIG Traffic Range Jammu; Inspr (S) Vimla Raina; and Inspr (S) Ruby Dhar were also present on the occasion.
One such pledge ceremony took place at Traffic Police Lines, Gulshan Ground, Gandhi Nagar Jammu. The DIG Traffic interacted with officers and personnel, highlighting the significance of Vigilance Awareness Week.
