Jammu, Aug 23: J&K’s ace cricketer Ian Dev Singh Chauhan has been named skipper of Seattle Thunderbolts for the prestigious Minor League Cricket to be held in the United States of America (USA).
“We are thrilled to announce that Ian Chauhan has been appointed as the team captain for the 2024 season. A dashing wicket-keeper batsman, Ian brings a wealth of leadership experience to the squad, having excelled both behind the stumps and with the willow,” stated Seattle Thunderbolts Management.
“Known for his sharp reflexes and tactical acumen, Ian has consistently demonstrated his ability to read the game and motivate his teammates. Ian has played 93 First Class matches for Jammu and Kashmir and scored 5558 runs with an average of 37.57 including 17 centuries and 24 half-centuries.
He has also the distinction of scoring 145 runs against East Zone while representing North Zone in the prestigious Duleep Trophy. He had shown stellar grit and tenacity to notch up this hundred which included 17 fours and 2 massive sixes.
