11 FIRs registered against landlords for failing to disclose tenant info

Jammu, July 28: Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) has registered 11 FIRs against the house/land owners in district Samba of Jammu region for violating ‘Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita’ order.

The people booked by the Police failed to provide the information/details of tenants/outsiders residing across the district to District Police Samba, the spokesman said.
The verification process was initiated by the Police for the outsiders staying as tenants and domestic helpers.
During the drive, five cases were registered at Police Station Samba, three cases each at Police Station Ghagwal and Vijaypur respectively under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

The booked house owners/land owners have been identified as Ravi Kumar S/o Shamsher Singh R/o Sinki Samba, Veeka Sharma S/o Puran Chand R/o Bain Camp Samba, Darshan Lal S/o Sai Dass R/o Sadho Samba, Makhan Singh S/o Karnail Singh R/o Sadho Samba (5) Balwan Singh S/o Amar Singh R/o Sadho Samba, Prem Nath S/o Kaka Ram R/o Malani Rajpura, Pankaj Kumar S/o Kasturi Lal R/o Lala Chack Rajpura, Luthal Gupta S/o Bhadur Chand R/o Rajpura, Baj Ram S/o Prithvi Raj R/o Shivnagar Vijaypur, Sujata Rani W/o Shamsher Singh R/o Vijaypur and Surinder Kour W/o Jaswant Singh R/o Vijaypur.

It is pertinent to mention that District Magistrate Samba has already issued the orders for the owners to get the police verification of the tenants done.

Police has appealed to the people to come forward and provide the complete details of their tenants/domestic helpers to their nearest Police Station and get the Police verification done.
