Anantnag, Jun 22: The Traffic Police (Rural) on Saturday issued an advisory for motorists to avoid traveling on the Khanabal-Pahalgam road at night due to ongoing macadamization work.
The Senior Superintendent of Police, Traffic Rural Kashmir, Ravinder Pal Singh, has issued an advisory regarding ongoing repairs and macadamization work on the Khanabal-Pahalgam road. To facilitate this essential work, traffic movement will be completely suspended from 9 PM to 7 AM every night starting June 22, 2024, until further notice.
The advisory also advised the Motorists to avoid traveling on the Khanabal-Pahalgam road during nighttime hours to ensure smooth and uninterrupted repair activities.
It further reads that, even during the day, it is recommended to minimize unnecessary travel on this road to ease the burden on work crews and avoid potential delays.
The advisory also reads that to maintain safe driving practices.
“To maintain lane driving, avoid overtaking and maintain respect to other road users so that unnecessary congestion, owing to overtaking etc. is avoided,” the advisory added.
