SKUAST-K, KVK Budgam conducts E-MDP on Nursery Raising of Vegetable Crops

Srinagar, Nov 07: SKUAST-K, KVK Budgam concluded one week E-MDP on “Nursery Raising Of Vegetable Crops under Protected Structures” held at Kenihama Block B.K.Pora Budgam.
The program sponsored by Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME), GoI aimed to sensitize and build entrepreneurial capacities among the educated unemployed youth and develop their skills in latest technologies of vegetable nursery raising. A total of 25 trainees participated in the event.
The program was part of various activities undertaken by Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir for technical development & upliftment of farmers by helping them to double their income.
Besides the Scientists of KVK Budgam, Scientists from Division of Vegetable Science, SKUAST-K and Officer from Department of Agriculture delivered lectures and carried demonstrations on various aspects of nursery raising.
Dr. Bilal A. Lone, Prof and Head, KVK Budgam, in his lecture highlighted the need of community empowerment through skill development Programmes.
