Pulwama, June 07: Sidra Mukhtar, a student from Government Higher Secondary School Arihal in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district has achieved an impressive feat by securing the second rank in the recently announced 12th class examinations in the arts stream.
Her remarkable performance has brought pride and joy to the entire Pulwama district.
Speaking to Rising Kashmir at her home in Arihal, Sidra attributed her success to the unwavering support and guidance of her teachers and parents.
“I worked diligently for the exams, but I never imagined I would be among the top rank holders,” she said with a smile. The jubilant student explained that she dedicated the early morning hours to her studies, finding that time most conducive to focus and consistency.
Her teachers and parents played a crucial role in helping her manage exam stress and stay motivated.
The news of Sidra’s outstanding performance sparked celebrations across Arihal. Her home became a hub of joy as neighbours and well-wishers visited in large numbers to congratulate her.
The Principal of Government Higher Secondary School, Mohammad Ashraf Mir, along with his staff, personally visited Sidra’s residence to commend her exceptional achievement.
“This is not just a proud moment for our school but for the entire district,” said Principal Mir.
“Sidra, coming from a modest background and achieving such a high rank without any coaching classes, is truly inspiring. Her success demonstrates the dedication and hard work of our government teachers.”
Sidra has secured an impressive 494 marks out of 500, achieving a 98.8 percentile.
She suggested that students should develop a convenient strategy for their studies and adhere to it to achieve success. Sidra, who excels in economics, revealed that she aspires to pursue civil services after graduation.
