Srinagar, May 16: In a day-long event, the 6th Post Graduate Research Presentations (PGRP) took place at the prestigious Govt. Dental College & Hospital in Srinagar. The research program, held on Tuesday, saw the participation of eminent dental professionals and showcased the latest advancements in the field.
The inauguration of the research presentations was led by Prof. (Dr.) Riyaz Farooq, the esteemed Principal/Dean of the institution. He emphasized the significance of such events in elevating dental education standards and enhancing the quality of care provided to dental patients.
Throughout the day, a total of 27 research presentations were delivered, covering a broad range of topics. Each department showcased their cutting-edge work, with four presentations each from the Departments of Conservative Dentistry, Oral/Maxillofacial Surgery, Prosthodontics/Crown/Bridge, and Periodontics. Additionally, three presentations each were made by the Departments of Orthodontics, Oral Medicine/Radiology, and Oral Pathology, while the Department of Pedodontics presented two research projects.
The event provided a platform for active interaction and deliberations among the participants, fostering an atmosphere of intellectual exchange. The scholars passionately discussed their research findings, engaging in a productive brain-storming session.
The day concluded at 4.30 pm with a certificate distribution ceremony, where Prof. (Dr.) Riyaz Farooq, the Principal/Dean, presented certificates of appreciation to all the research presenters. The event served as a testament to the institution’s commitment to promoting academic excellence and research-driven advancements in dental science.
