Leh, May 24: All arrangements have been finalized for the smooth conduct of the prestigious UPSC Civil Services Examination in Leh, scheduled on Sunday. A total of 301 aspirants will be appearing for the examination at EJM College Leh.
In a high-level preparatory meeting held on Friday at the Conference Hall, DC Office Leh, Deputy Commissioner Santosh Sukhadeve reviewed the overall readiness for the examination. The meeting was attended by the UPSC Inspecting Officer, Additional Superintendent of Police, Venue Supervisor, Custodian, Magistrate, Invigilators, and representatives responsible for managing mobile signal jammers.
The session focused on providing orientation and training regarding standard examination protocols. Key aspects covered included proper distribution of question booklets, seating arrangements, and accurate filling of OMR sheets. DC Sukhadeve underscored the critical nature of the examination and called on officials to maintain strict adherence to guidelines, warning that even minor lapses could undermine the hard work and year-long preparation of the candidates.
He further emphasized the importance of punctuality, urging aspirants to arrive at the examination centre well in advance. “Candidates must enter the examination hall thirty minutes before the scheduled time. The main gate will close strictly 30 minutes before the start, with no exceptions for latecomers,” the DC warned.
The examination will be held in two sessions: from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM and from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
To ensure a fair and transparent examination process, signal jammers will be deployed, and robust security arrangements will be in place. The UPSC Inspecting Officer also called on all invigilators and officials to remain vigilant and committed to preventing any form of misconduct during the exam.
