Srinagar, July 29: The 25th District Srinagar Sqay Championship, organized by the District Sqay Association Srinagar, concluded on Monday at the Sports Complex Polo Ground in Srinagar. Shakil Hafiz, President of the Kashmir School Federation, graced the event as the chief guest.
The championship, which saw the participation of over 100 talented boys and girls, aimed to promote the traditional martial art of Sqay and provide a platform for young athletes to showcase their skills.
In his address, Hafiz emphasized the importance of sports in shaping the youth and commended the District Sqay Association Srinagar for their dedication to promoting Sqay in the region. He also highlighted the event’s main theme: making Srinagar a drug-free city.
The championship featured various events and competitions, with winners receiving prizes and recognition for their achievements.
