2 LeT terrorist associates detained under PSA in B’pora: Police

Srinagar, Oct 10: The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday claimed to have booked two terrorist associates of the Lashkar-i-Toiba outfit under Public Safety Act (PSA) in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
A police spokesman said, “two terrorist associates of LeT were detained under PSA, one namely Ishfaq Majeed Dar S/o Ab Majeed Dar @Salahudin R/o Saderkoot Bala who was a hard-core ANE’s and was in touch with terrorist in Pakistan.
“He was given the task by his handlers across the border to mobilise the youth in Bandipora for recruiting them into banned terror organisation LeT.
“Ishfaq was further given the task to identify Police, CRPF Naka’s in Hajin area of Bandipora along with coordinates for carrying terror attacks in the area.” The police spokesman said.
As per Police, another person namely Waseem Ahmad Malik @Obaid @ Osama S/o Ab Gani Malik R/o Gundpora Rampora was also in touch with Pakistani terrorist Hashir Parray whose module was recently busted by Bandipora police.
“Malik was establishing new associates in Bandipora town and adjacent areas. He was working on luring youth of Bandipora towards terror sympathizers and to establish terror sleeper cells in Bandipora district”, he said.
The spokesman said that keeping in view their tendencies towards mobilizing the youth terror activities and to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere in Bandipora district, Both of them were detained under PSA, he said.
