Kulgam, June 04: The 18th Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on Sunday provided free computer training to 150 young boys and girls, marking the completion of their six-week-long course.
A closing ceremony was held to acknowledge the students who had completed the computer training program. The event was attended by Muneeb Ahmad Zargar, President MC Kulgam, who expressed his appreciation for the CRPF’s efforts. Zargar commended the initiative and hoped that such endeavors would continue in the future for the betterment of students.
The Commandant of the 18th Battalion stated that the provision of free computer training is part of the battalion’s Civic Action Programme for this year. A total of 400 students will benefit from this initiative. The first batch of 150 students completed their course, and an additional five groups of 50 students each will also receive computer training.
“We are proud to present awards to the students who have successfully completed the six-week course. This project aims to equip the students with fundamental computer skills, enabling them to compete in the digital age,” the Commandant explained. The CRPF has been actively engaged in community service and has organized eight medical camps in the Kulgam district this year. Additionally, a cricket competition is also being prepared.
Highlighting the importance of youth participation in national growth, the Commandant emphasized the need for their contributions to education, development, and sports. The program received positive feedback from Danish Ahmad, one of the participating students. Ahmad expressed gratitude for the opportunity to receive free computer training from the CRPF, stating that the course had greatly assisted him and his peers in their studies.
The CRPF’s initiative to provide free computer training to students in Kulgam has been widely appreciated as a significant step towards empowering the youth and fostering their overall development.
