Srinagar, Nov 10: In an impactful initiative under the Civic Action Plan, the 117th Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) hosted a free medical camp at the Child Care High School in Khursoo, Rajbagh, within the Srinagar Sector. The event, marked by the participation of five dedicated doctors, saw two medical practitioners nominated by the Zonal Medical Officer, Batmaloo, and three from the CRPF itself.
A substantial turnout of 225 walk-in patients availed themselves of medical attention during the camp, which showcased the collaborative efforts of professionals such as Dr. Nighat, Dr. Mudasir Hakeem, Dr. Yamini Chelvi, Dr. Ekta Tanwar, and Dr. Mudawar Saleem.
The inauguration, spearheaded by Biplab Sarkar, Commandant of the 117th Battalion CRPF, saw the esteemed presence of high-ranking officials, including Abhiram Pankaj, Second in Command, Mrityunjay Kumar, Deputy Commandant, and others. Notably, the school’s Principal, Ms. Rehana Sultan, and Administrator Zeeshan generously offered their campus for the noble cause.
Local residents lauded the CRPF’s efforts in organizing these vital camps, emphasizing the positive impact on the community. Commandant Biplab Sarkar emphasized the unit’s dedication to the community, particularly as winter approaches, highlighting the significance of free medical aid.
Commandant Sarkar revealed that this marks the third medical camp organized by the unit, with two more planned in the near future. The CRPF, under the guidance of Ajay Kr. Yadav, IG of the Srinagar Sector, continues these medical camps across Central Kashmir, benefitting residents in multiple districts.
The forthcoming camp in the series is set for the 11th of November at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Natipora. The CRPF remains steadfast in its commitment to community welfare and looks forward to continued collaborations for the well-being of the local populace.
