Under its public outreach programme, 10 Battalion SSB Batmaloo, Srinagar organized Medical camps at Rakh-I-Arath Colony, Bay-1, Bemina, Srinagar on Wednesday under Civic Action Programme.
In the said programme, Medical as well as Veterinary Civic Action Programmes were conducted by 10 Bn Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).
Dr Arun Choudhary, Assistant Commandant (Medical Officer) of 10 Bn SSB alongwith Dr Farooq of PHC Bemina, Dr Sumaya of PHC Laloo, & Dr Saima of MLHP under Zonal medical office, Batmaloo checked health condition and gave treatment to approx 230 ( Male-60, Female- 100 & Children- 70) local populace.
In the Veterinary Civic Action (VCA) Programme, Dr Vishesh, Veterinary Doctor checked & treated numerous domestic animals (approx. 55 livestock) of residents of Bemina area of Srinagar and also shared his valuable knowledge to aware about common diseases of various domestic animals and to follow proper guidelines for healthy living of domestic animals.
Further, during the programme, free medicines were distributed to local populace and also for their domestic animals. Further, awareness on “Beti Bachao, Beti Padao”, “Mission lifestyle” and how to free people from addiction of Drugs etc. were also created. People in huge numbers from Bemina area enthusiastically participated in the programme and also took advantages of these camps.
Speaking on the occasion, Sh. R. S Rawat, Second-In-Command of 10 Battalion SSB said that such programme would continue to be organized in the future also. He also stated that such events create a good image of the force and develop a sense of security among the local people and SSB. The SSB has always been doing its best for the welfare of the local people in the deployed area.
