Jammu, July 22: One person died, while three others were injured when a house collapsed in Reasi district of Jammu region on Monday evening.
“There was no rain in the area and neither was there any other reason for house collapse,” DC Reasi, Vishesk Pal told Rising Kashmir, while adding, “a team of experts, including the Patwari, will visit the spot and ascertain the reasons for sudden house collapse”.
The DC said that there are many Kucha houses in Reasi but “collapse of this house is very strange and is a matter of investigation”.
At about 5:30 PM, a newly constructed Kucha house belonging to one Kewal Krishan son of Shankar Dass, collapsed at Sujandhar Bhomag, resulting in the death of one person namely Narinder Singh son of Hans Raj.
Three more persons were injured in the house collapse.
They have been identified as Kuldeep Singh son of Hans Raj, Mohd Akram son of Mohd Yousaf and Purab Singh son of Shambu Nath.
Injured persons were shifted to District Hospital Reasi for treatment. They all have minor injuries.
A case has been registered in this regard by Police and investigation started.
