RP School, Nagbal organisesfive- day book fair

Ganderbal, Sep 17: A five- day book fair was organised by RP School, Nagbal on Saturday. The fair was inaugurated by ADDC Ganderbal, Mr Mushtaq Ahmad and SP Ganderbal, Mr Feroz Yahya.
Hundrends of students from differant schools and districts thronged the fair.
The book fair aimed at developing a reading culture in Kashmir. Talking about the lockdown, Principal RP School, Nagbal Mr Muzzafar Ahmad said,
“The pandemic has created a lot of learning gaps amongst the students and increased the screen time alarmingly. To mitigate these learning gaps while also building a resilient system that can withstand future learning crises, this book fair was organized “
The book fair comprised of more than 2000 books from different genres. Reading corners, story telling sessions and vocabulary building activities were organised to genetate the interest of students in reading. Ms Najm u Saher, Year Advisor, RP School, Nagbal insisted that such steps should be taken by the schools as reading not only improves vocabulary but also the ability to empathise.
