Jan Abhiyan- Day 12: Outreach Activities witness massive public response in Kathua

Kathua, Oct 26:  The Jan Abhiyan activities ended on a spirited note in Kathua as Stakeholder Departments made all out efforts to achieve their targets during the 12-day campaign launched as preparatory phase for 4th edition of Back To Village programme.
The Jan Abhiyan was an action-packed programme which involved 35 Govt departments to achieve as many as eighty-five deliverables of critical importance.
The Jan Abhiyan campaign was aimed at focusing on youth, skills, self-employment, good governance, and Panchayati Raj along with “NashaMukt and Rozgar Yukt J&K”.
The District Administration Kathua had formulated a well knit plan to achieve maximum number of deliverables by involving the key stakeholders with the active participation of PRIs and engaging them in identifying the eligible and deserving beneficiaries. 
As many as 16545 Land Passbooks were distributed by the teams of Revenue Department, who also provided awareness on the Aapki Zameen AapkiNigrani initiative of the government.
The District has successfully established 150 Rural Haats at Panchayat level, besides achieving 100% target  of holding camps on BEAMS, Jan Bhagidhari  in all 257 Panchayats to educate people about the e-services available on online mode. The Revenue Department also completed the 100% target of ensuring all Patwarkhanas to notify information and timings of its functioning for the convenience of the general public.
The IT Department also achieved 100 % target of holding Registration cum Awareness camps in all 257 panchayats of the district where PMJAY Sehat Cards and E-Shram Registrations were done through CSCs.
Under the Jan Abhiyan programme, Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department achieved 100% saturation by shifting all 533 villages of the district to Ration Card Management System.
The district has also achieved a 100 percent target of enrolling 5600 eligible students for Tribal Scholarships Schemes. As many as 90 students were provided admission in Polytechnic College thus achieving 100% of the given target.
Besides, the district has achieved the target of enrolling and distributing 8,329 Soil Health Cards through field staff of the Agriculture Department by holding Kisan Melas and special Camps.
With joint efforts of Banks, JKEDI and the Labour Department, Self-Employment to 281 candidates were provided besides 176 cases were sanctioned/ disbursed under different individual subsidy schemes.
The Aadhaar seeding of over 680 beneficiaries of Individual Beneficiaries schemes were done in the 12-day Jan Abhiyan programme in the district.
Other achievements include digitisation of Disability Cards of 940 beneficiaries, formation of 225 Senior Citizen Clubs, identification of 603 out of school children, holding of 1235 Parent Teacher Meetings and 866 sports activities under the Jan Abhiyan Outreach activities in the district.
