Ganderbal, Jan 13: The Ganderbal administration has called for identifying the households without LPG so that the connections are made available to them as the government of J&K is contemplating declaring the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir as "Kerosene Free".
This means that no PDS kerosene will be allocated by 31 March 2023 owing to optimum penetration of LPG and almost complete electrification of all the villages of J&K, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Ganderbal Mehraj-ud-Din Shah said during a meeting held here at Mini-Secretariat to review the stock position of essentials in the district. During the meeting, a threadbare discussion was held on the stock position of essential commodities, LPG connections and kerosene oil requirements.
