Drugs abuse has become the most potent cause of insecurity in our school going children and society. Drugs in our society plays a major role in increasing the level of thugs’ activities among Kashmiri youth. This is playing out practically before our very eyes and we can no longer pretend that all is well. Drugs are destroying our youth like termite destroys the wood.

Suicides are a concern and shouldn’t take place and similarly, drug abuse is a big issue and it is consuming our young generation,”. In the wake of the surge in drug abuse in the Valley, religious leaders, politicians and civil society have asked the government to take concrete measures to prevent youth from falling into drug abuse. The need for Jammu and Kashmir youth’s to rise to the occasion of leadership and shun social vices is unavoidably important in national building.
