Jammu, Nov 24: Vikalp SMVDU, aiming towards the students’ welfare, has been working to provide education to all the children coming from villages like Sira, Dheerti, Sool, Kakryal and Jhajjar. This time, Vikalp celebrated its 13th Children’s Day last week where Prof R K Sinha, Vice-Chancellor, SMVDU was invited as the chief guest of the event and other faculty member were there as guests of honour.
This year’s theme “Vikalp Mania” filled everyone with splendour, rush and excitement. The performances were well synchronised with the theme starting with toddlers dancing on the tunes of “Ek Zindagi Meri” expressing their emotions about their dreams and passion.
A prize distribution ceremony awarding all those who performed well was conducted after the celebration.
Prof. R K Sinha encouraged everyone to work hard and talked about “the change we all can bring together as a community to treat every person irrespective of their background, section or class”.
